It has ovoid-cylindrical pseudobulbs, covered by several pairs of small, dry, overlapping bracts. Each pseudobulb bears a single apical, hanging leaf, with a cylindrical shape and a sharp tip. The leaf is stiff, leathery, and slightly curved. In spring, the plant develops a racemose flower cluster about 20 cm long, which ranges from upright to curved and is characterized by 5-6 small lance-shaped bracts.
