€14,95
Anthurium andreanum ‘Delicata’ is an impressive tropical plant, prized for its spectacular flowers and lush foliage. With its elegant, modern appearance, this variety of Anthurium adds a touch of freshness and style to any indoor space.
Care:
- Light: Prefers bright, indirect light. It can also tolerate partial shade, but will flower more abundantly in suitable light conditions. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves.
- Soil: Prefers well-draining soil rich in organic matter. A mix of potting soil, perlite, and peat is ideal for providing the necessary drainage.
- Watering: Water regularly, keeping the soil evenly moist but not saturated. Allow the soil to dry slightly between waterings to prevent root rot. Reduce watering slightly during winter.
- Humidity: Anthurium prefers high humidity. Regularly misting the leaves or using a humidifier can be beneficial, especially during the winter months.
- Temperature: The plant grows best at temperatures between 18-25°C. Avoid temperatures below 15°C and protect the plant from cold drafts.
- Fertilizing: Fertilize the plant once a month during the growing season (spring and summer) with a balanced liquid fertilizer for indoor plants. Reduce fertilizing during fall and winter.
- Propagation: Anthurium can be propagated by dividing the clump or from stem cuttings. Spring is the best time to divide it.
- Common problems: The plant can be affected by pests such as spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs. Check the plant regularly and treat it with appropriate insecticides if necessary. Overwatering can lead to root rot and mold.
