Eucalyptus - Eucalyptus urnigera (Urn Tree)

Eucalyptus urnigera, known as the Urn Tree because of the shape of its fruits, is a remarkable tree native to Tasmania. It stands out for its glossy, silvery-green leaves, which release a strong, pleasant scent when crushed. The tree grows quickly and can reach impressive heights, creating a striking visual display in any landscape.

Eucalyptus urnigera produces white or cream-colored bell-shaped flowers that attract bees and other pollinating insects. Its bark is smooth and peels away in strips, revealing pale layers that add further interest. Thanks to its cold hardiness, it is more adaptable to temperate climates than other eucalyptus species, making it a popular choice for gardens in colder regions.

In addition to its aesthetic value, Eucalyptus urnigera is used to produce essential oils and has applications in traditional medicine. It is also valued for its ability to adapt to different soil types and its air-purifying properties, making it not only a beautiful tree but a useful one too.

It does not require special soil and is resistant to diseases and pests, being naturally considered "pest free". It can withstand temperatures as low as -20 °C without requiring winter protection.

Height including pot: approx. 40-60+ cm (varies depending on the season)

During the warm season, these plants may arrive with damaged foliage (dried leaf tips/leaves) - this is caused by transportation and is only a cosmetic defect.

Recommendation: We recommend planting the eucalyptus in the garden or in large pots placed outdoors during the summer. It is an outdoor plant and does not do well in small pots over the long term. Do not expose the plant to strong sunlight before planting.

The transport pots in which the plants arrive are fragile and may break during handling and transportation.
